Jeremy Clawson Memorial Dance Concerts - Salt Lake City

NOTE: This event is not produced or endorsed by the Jordan Alumni Association.

Jeremy Clawson is a deceased Jordan Alumnus (Class of 1991) and we want to give Beetdiggers an opportunity to support this wonderful cause if they wish.

Cheyla Clawson, dancers from Oklahoma, and professionals from the Salt Lake City area will come together to produce and perform a dance memorial concert for a scholarship honoring Jeremy Clawson. Dancers will be staying and rehearsing in Salt Lake City for a month prior to the benefit concerts. Clawson and dancers are asking for donations/sponsorships of food and rehearsal space. Cheyla and dancers would deeply appreciate any assistance that can be offered.

Below is a description of the concerts and the scholarship.

Dance Concerts are dedicated to raise money to go towards the Jeremy Andrew Clawson Memorial Scholarship. Scholarship candidates must be university students majoring in the fields of Anthropology, Sociology, Film, Theatre, Military History, Political Science, Cultural Studies or Philosophy. Additionally, applicants must be a child of a fallen or injured soldier or airmen of the U.S Armed Forces. Application for scholarship will begin January of 2011. The first scholarship will be awarded for the school year of 2011/2012. The annual award has not yet been determined.

2010 Reunions

The time has come once again for reunions to get posted for the 2010 year.

This means if your graduation year ends in 05 or 10, this year is your year for a reunion.

If you're a member of a reunion committee, please submit your reunion to our websites so your classmates can easily find information on it. We'll help bring your classmates to you as you search for them all to ensure they make it to your reunion.

Remember also, reunion committee chairs, that the Jordan Alumni Association can provide you with our most recent class list, to assist you in letting your classmates know about your reunion.

We also recommend you set a group up in Facebook if you haven't already. This will allow you to create your reunion event and email out and allow your classmates to RSVP through it.

We wish all the happiest reuniting experiences ever this year! We're excited to hear about and help share your reunion. The Class of 1975 has already announced their 35-year reunion for 12 June 2010 at Storm Mountain Park in Sandy, Utah (more details to come.)

Beetdiggers, if you don't see your reunion yet, keep checking back. We post them as soon as we hear about them. If you know of a reunion and don't see it here, make sure to let us know about it.

2009 Reunion Contact List Updates Follow-up

Attention reunion committee members from the 2009 reunions!

The Jordan Alumni Association worked with many of you by providing class lists for you to use in contacting your classmates. We asked that you return those to us with updated information you gathered while putting your reunion together.

Unfortunately, we haven't heard back from any of you since your reunions. We hope they went well, and we respectfully ask that you return your updated class lists to us so we can update our database! Thanks for all you do in helping us keep things current.
